Nübel and Volland Miss Cup Finals with AS Monaco

Kevin Volland and Torwart Alexander Nubel missed the final with AS Monaco around the French Football Cup.

The team from the Principality lost the semi-final at FC Nantes with 2: 4 in penalties. Nübel could not defuse any of the attempts from the point, the substitute fully transformed his penalty. Nantes now meets OGC Nice in the final, the final rises on May 8 in Stade de France of St. Denis.

After 90 minutes it had been 2: 2 (1: 1), the penalty shooting followed directly. An own goal of Djibril Sidibe (21.) and Samuel Moutoussamy (74th) brought the hits for Nantes, Guillermo Maripan (12th) and Myron Boadu (76th) were successful for Monaco.

Nantes now hopes for his fourth COKALTRIUMPH. Also, Nice, which had defeated the fourth division of FC Versailles 2-0 in the final year, has won the Coupe de France so far three times. Defending champion and record cup winner Paris Saint-Germain had failed in the secondary finals on Nice - also in penalties.
